A Sunday afternoon we spent going through old photos and sharing memories.

Grandad and Parents.

Grandma and Family.

Ouma

Grandparents.

Parents and my brother.

Parents on their wedding day.

Me.

Me.

Me.
Hello my beautiful readers, so if you have been on any of my social media pages, will insert handles down below and you click on my contact tab :). You would see that I am very family orientated, I actually have a huge family which adds greatly to the experience for me. I have my two parents, three siblings, whom are all married, along with their kids, I have three nieces, two nephews and New baba coming which we don't know the sex of as yet.

For us Sundays are always important, its our morning with God where we all fellowship and serve and the afternoons is for family, we try at least 2 Sundays out of every month to have a family lunch and spend some time together before the long new week ahead, and this particular Sunday we decided to pull out our family photo albums, we laughed at all the hairstyles, outfits and beautiful memories associated with every single one. Some made us think about family members we lost but always carry with us and that is what makes my Sundays so special. No fuss no muss just US.

What I'm getting at is, treasure the people in your life, no matter where you are, who you are with or what you are doing. Make time for family because they are all you are ever going to need when you're in the dark and if you don't, Lean on God and people who add an unbelievable amount of value to your life, no one wants to face this world alone no matter how strong you are.

So take this little memory of mine, and go and make your own and I would love if you'd share it with me to. :)

Happy Friday my Loves.
Be Blessed always.

Hello My Lovelies!
So today I will be posting about one of my favourite things ever, NAIL POLISH!
I definitely know I'm not the only one who is obsessed with a fresh Mani or Pedi. I actually have the worst anxiety when I see chipped nail polish, honey there is an art to a beautiful polish. It makes your hands look like a fresh painted canvas whether done at home or by a professional.

BUT, I am going to lay down some tips and tricks, along with some handy advice and cash saving bargains you can create for yourself if you really want to. :) So Lets go

I have used many nail products, ranging from R10 Bottles I got at the China Mall to the Sally Hanson nail products. And in between I Found some gem like nail products just like the ESSENCE GEL POLISHES.

I do not even know how ive gotten through life without them, they go on so beautifully and dry to the hard gel consistency that was promised, but a few things I do personally just to make sure my nail polish stays on longer and looks better, I always push back my cuticles and clean up all my dead skin around my nails with my nail tool kit, I file my nails to the desired shape, I usually go for round, square or a little oval shape. I keep my nails relatively short because its more comfortable that way for me.

I then apply a thin base, of Essence clear base polish, I let it dry really really well, because if you apply your Gel polish on top of a tacky base, your nails will just look like a hot mess, because if the base is damp in any way your top coat of polish will dry out with creases and come off in two days and will take longer to dry than planned. I then apply my Gel colour polish of choice and keep the polish neatly in the edges and if it goes over, I just clean it out with a toothpick.

My third step is after my polish has dried completely I apply my Hardener top coat or any top coat i have available that suits my nail style i am Going for in the moment and Let it dry!

Then I just clean the sides of my nails off and you have a beautiful home done Mani and it costs you less than R70.00. Mine usually last me two weeks, three if i wear it well.

So ladies, if you want to have a bomb mani or pedi and you dont have the extra cash to get it professionally done, DIY it honey!!!!! It takes about an hour out of your day but it is so rewarding, and it looks so beautiful that all the effort you put into it is worth it! Go out and slay your nails, tag me if you do. I'd love to see.

Good day, my flower girls.

So as you can read in my bio, I am mixed race. Which does not just give me the combination skin feature, but the combination hair as well. So my hair texture is very grainy almost, I have thin hair but I have a lot of hair. Combined with the wavy/curly vibe. So the front of my hair curls in spirals and the back of my hair is more of a deep wave than a curl, and I colour my hair about once a year, depending on how I feel and how healthy my hair is.

So according to my needs, here my hair care gets tricky, since i have curly/wavy hair, accompanied by the texture it gets very dry and brittle and breaks off a lot, especially after ive applied heat to my hair, or used products to style it. So I tend to go for products that will enhance my hairs natural oils and sheen, while still keeping the colour of my hair pigmented and not dry and grainy.

I have tried numerous products, that I absolutely love. Such as Elvive, Tresseme, Dove and Gliss. My list is endless and with these products i have had so much hair wins. So as per my "feelings", yes I have feelings about my hair its that crazy, I like to try new products and implement them into my routine and see what results they produce. And boy oh boy did I fall into a gold mine with this one, the GARNIER ULTIMATE BLENDS range.

Firstly, the packaging I swear it most probably saves lives, it is so unique and crafted to the products its unbelievable, and the smell, i can not even explain to you, when I opened the cap and smelled the product I literally wanted to eat it! (please do not though haha). So I used it on my hair, with my normal shower/bath routine and let me tell you, not only did my hair smell like cranberries, but it was so strong, healthy looking and it had really brought through my hairs natural oils that it was so sleek and full.

First impression was so good and I wanted to see how it stood the test of time by making it the only product i used on my hair for the month of July and I was so impressed, my hair hadn't dried out thank you to the Argon oil ratio in the formula and my hair colour didn't go dull because of the cranberry component.

So, my final verdict, I loved this product so much that I got The Garnier Ultimate Blends shampoo and conditioner in the scent green tea and lemon. I am so excited to try this product out and see what benefits it has and how well it can be applied to a well set routine. Stay Posted for more some more reviews on these fantastic Garnier Ultimate Blends products, who knows I might go grazy and actually combine two products for a preferred look.

Tea, Honey. If I could have a superpower this would most likely be my kryptonite, I kid you not. As I mentioned in my Winter Wear post, in South Africa it is winter and with winter comes colds and flu.

Let me tell you friends, I am not a fan. I recently caught the flu germ that was going around and with it came and unbelievably sore cough which made my throat so raw and irritating. But, I have found the magic cure. Freshpack Rooibos Ginger Tea which is R18.95 and any Honey of your choice. I have been using Little Bee honey I get it at Dischem Pharmacy for R39.95.

I just boil water, put my tea bag in the cup and stir till its a very light golden brown colour I then strain the tea bag out and put two teaspoons of honey. This is like gold for a sore throat and the cough. It soothes the burn and the irritation. I had one small cu[ in the morning and one at night for a week and now I have a cup everyday. It was such a help, because I am a full time receptionist so having a cough and a grainy voice at the front desk is not ideal.

So ladies, this is one of my really big staples when I am ill and its really been a saving grace for me.

So if anyone has any comments, suggestions or concerns do not hesitate to contact me, I look so forward to hearing from you. :)

OHHH HONEY CHILD (yes, yes I said that in a southern accent). So beautiful ladies, in South Africa we have hit the heart of winter, and let me tell you its freezing!!

But, do not fear I have some tricks up my sleeve LITERALLY and I'm about to make your day. well i certainly hope so.

In my above pictures, the first one is my Beautiful Sister Quanita Davids if you would like to follow her I will list her social media below :). So back to fashion, we get cold and long coats and jerseys are so sleek is you want to make a statement, this past weekend we popped into Legit Clothing and found this beautiful fleece navy green waterfall coat and it was a only R399.00. She then paired it with a green polo neck, white pants and nude high under the knee boots. This look is so effortless but a wonderful way to wear a statement piece such as this waterfall coat.

In the second Photo is yours truly (ME) haha. And im the exact opposite to my sister. She is very Girly and soulful, where as I am very tomboyish with a edge. I went into Checkers Hyper Clothing and I found this dark grey wool jersey for R199.99. Its so warm and textured, perfect for any outfit you need to kick up a tad, I paired it with a plain black long sleeve top that I got at Mr Price for R49.99, dark blue denim jeans that I got at Ackermans for R135.00, a scarf that my sister bought for me as a gift in Clarens and my Favourite Sneaker for the season a grey and powder pink Addidas Supercloud that I purchased at Footgear for R600.00, it was on sale and I was a happy customer.

I can literally pair any outfit with sneakers, even a dress. You can Make it classy ladies trust me. My Fashion sense is very simple with a lot of different statement pieces whether its colour, cut, texture or any other factor that makes it different and exciting that you can dress down or up depending on your mood (that is so me). Have fun with fashion and don't be intimidated by anything else you see, find pieces that suit your body type and make you feel confident, I for one want to know what your winter style is, so hit me up :) click on my contact feature if you have any questions, suggestions or concerns. Remember to follow me on instagram, pinterest and twitter. I look so forward to hearing from you, happy Thursday.
